DORIAN MURRY is the founder and managing partner of The Murry Law Group, P.C., in Stone Mountain, Georgia (770.450.0123 —

He specializes in criminal defense, civil rights litigation, social security disability, and personal injury. His practice ranges from simple traffic tickets such as speeding and DUI to white collar crimes such as mortgage fraud, tax evasion, racketeering, and embezzlement to serious violent felonies such as armed robbery and malice murder. He has successfully defended children as young as 13 charged as adults and senior citizens charged with assault. He has sued sheriffs, police officers, municipalities, and fortune 500 companies for civil rights violations like police brutality, false arrest, and malicious prosecution. He has represented civil rights leaders, Grammy award winning artists, TV stars, international dignitaries, and professional athletes. However, his fervor rests in representing the common everyday person and evening things up for those who bear the scorn of the oppressor’s wrong and the law’s delay. He fights fire with fire, meets guile with guile, and rights legal wrongs. He fights in the trenches for all his clients and proudly wears the scars for everyone to see.

He graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelors degree from the University of Georgia in 1995 and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1998. He began his career with the Legal Aid & Public Defender Office in Athens, Georgia. Later, he practiced with the Georgia Justice Project in Atlanta, Georgia. Subsequently, he joined the firm of Johnson & Freeman, LLC and practiced there as a partner until he founded The Murry Law Group, P.C. in 2010.

Mr. Murry is a former Magistrate Judge. He is an Instructor for Emory University’s Paralegal Certificate Program. He was recognized as a Rising Star in 2005 and 2007 by Georgia Super Lawyers Magazine. He was accepted into the Biltmore’s Who’s Who in 2009.

One of his passions is high school mock trial and he has coached the Morrow High School team since 1999. He was recognized as an Outstanding Attorney Coach in 2004 by the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia. He serves as the Director of Christian Education at Holly Grove AME Church in Peachtree City, Georgia. He serves on the board of directors for the Georgia Legal Services Program and Southern Truth and Reconciliation. He serves on the program advisory committee for Brown Mackie College. His memberships include: State Bar of Georgia; Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; National Criminal Defense College alumnus; National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers; Dekalb Lawyers Association; and the Gate City Bar Association.

He is married to the Honorable Temika J. Williams Murry and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
